What does the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally Filter Kit consist of?

It is installed into the original airbox and consists of 7 parts:

1. lower cage for the foam filter

2. sport impregnated foam air filter

3, upper cage

4. protective foam filter for the upper cage – so-called pre-filter

5.–6. mounting adapter (two variants)

7. protective mesh

You can use the Rally Filter Kit to its full potential:

1. For riding in normal conditions or on the road, use the configuration without the pre-filter (see Fig. 1).

2. For riding in extreme (or racing) conditions such as heavy dust and sand, mud, and coarse debris, use the dual air filter setup, creating the complete Rally Filter Kit (see Fig. 2). The pre-filter is made of high-quality foam, acts as an additional protective layer, and extends the service interval between filter cleanings.

Advantages of the Ténéré 700 Rally Filter Kit:

• The upper filter captures the largest debris, while the inner impregnated filter traps finer particles. The result is an effective and durable two-stage filtration system. It is designed to increase airflow to the intake and maximize engine performance. Test measurements have confirmed increased airflow and a lower tendency to clog with dust or other contaminants. Thanks to the upper cage, there is no risk of foam filter deformation.

• The lower cage prevents the contaminated foam filter from being sucked into the engine.

• Easy to wash and reusable.

• Perfect fit, making installation simple – the shape precisely matches the original filter.

• The lower foam filter is pre-treated with a special oil.

Installation procedure:

Before installing the dual air filter and the lower cage, the OEM air intake must first be removed (!)

1. Unscrew all 4 screws around the filter

2. Remove the center screw

3. Remove the original filter

4. Insert the foam filter into the lower cage

5. Reinstall the cage with the filter

6. Fit the pre-filter onto the upper cage (always in the direction of the arrows)

7. Securely screw on the adapter

8. Install the protective mesh on the pre-filter (if required)
