Airbox Upgrade to Boost Motorcycle Performance

The Airbox Upgrade from Throttle Punks is for you if:

• for whatever reason, you don’t want to invest in a complete sports intake system
• you want a quick and easy modification that you can easily do yourself
• you mainly drive on the highway or at a sporty pace
• you want better engine performance, a smoother mid-range, and a little more character

? Note: We do not recommend this for off-road use, fording, or riding in extremely dusty conditions

What the Airbox Upgrade Offers

• Higher airflow into the engine
• A smoother power curve in the mid-range
• A slight but noticeably increased boost in power and torque ( up to approx. +2 HP and +4 Nm on some models)
• Sharper throttle response
• Adeeper, more distinctive intake sound that gives the engine character
• The effect is noticeable immediately after installation, without the need for complicated tuning

Even the Airbox Upgrade has its limitations:

• The intake is noisier after the modification —the engine is more audible
• The original paper filter requires more frequent inspection and maintenance
• We do not recommend it for off-road riding (dust, mud, water)
• If you’re looking for maximum performance gains, we recommend considering a more sophisticated high-performance upgrade—the Power Kit (tuned ECU map + homologated exhaust)
• This is not a replacement for our complete sports intake system—it’s a reasonable compromise between price, simplicity, and performance benefits

Installation is very simple and anyone can do it:

• You can do it yourself in just a few minutes
• Tools: 4 mm Allen wrench
• No additional accessories are needed
