Crash bars
Crash bars for motorcycles are an essential protective accessory. They protect the engine and fairings and take the impact themselves in the event of a fall or a slow tip-over. They mount directly to the motorcycle frame and create a solid protection point that keeps the bike off the ground and minimizes damage. They are the most affordable insurance against much more expensive repairs to critical parts of the bike. If you ride, sooner or later you will appreciate having them.

Who are crash bars for
Crash bars make sense for almost anyone who:
- rides locally, travels long distances, adventure, enduro, or city
- occasionally handles a heavier bike (and knows gravity is free and always ready)
- does not want to deal with cracked plastics, engine covers, or a damaged radiator
- wants to protect their investment in the motorcycle
What to keep in mind
- they add a few extra kilograms
- they slightly increase the bike’s overall width
- after a crash, they may need to be straightened or replaced (which is exactly their job)
Crash bars are a consumable part. But it is always better to sacrifice crash bars than the motorcycle itself.
